A cold front will move across the region today and tonight while an upper-level disturbance approaches from the west. Areas of light rain will develop through the day and increase in coverage and intensity tonight. Highs today will be mainly in the 50s. Lows tonight will fall into the 40s across all but the northwest zones where some 30s are expected.

Widespread rain is anticipated tonight through Saturday across the area. Rain chances will start to ramp up on Thursday evening with the highest rain chances across the Hill Country. Low temperatures will fall into the upper-40s to mid-50s.

On Friday and Friday evening, rain looks to be a sure bet across most of North and Central Texas with some of the rain being heavy at times. There will be a risk for flooding, especially across Central Texas where 3-6 inches of rainfall are possible. We are also monitoring the potential for rain to change over to snow in parts of North Texas on Saturday and Saturday evening.
