Thunderstorms are expected to develop off to the west this evening and some may move through North Texas overnight. The strongest storms could produce some damaging winds. Thunderstorms are expected to weaken as they move east overnight.
Overall, today will be warm and breezy across North and Central Texas. This morning’s cloudy skies will clear by the afternoon allowing for plenty of sunshine.
Temperatures will warm into the low to mid-90s. High humidity will cause heat indices to soar into the mid-90s to just above 100 degrees in parts of the region. Winds will be out of the south at 10 to 20 mph with wind gusts up to 30 mph.
