An old outflow boundary across Central Texas will surge north toward the Red River and Ark-La-Tex this afternoon.
This boundary along with strong heating and an approaching upper disturbance during peak heating may trigger a few strong storms across areas north of I- 20. Gusty downburst winds, frequent light, and heavy rainfall are expected to be the main hazards, though some pea hail can’t be ruled out with the strongest storms.
Minor flooding may also occur. Otherwise, it will be hot and humid with highs 90 to 95 degrees.
