Another hot and humid day is expected today with highs in the 90s with south winds 10 to 15 mph.
A slow-moving upper disturbance will drift across Northwest Texas and across the Red River Valley today. This system along with an old outflow boundary from storms west of the area will combine to produce isolated to scattered thunderstorms by afternoon.
A few storms will be strong in the afternoon with gusty winds, frequent lightning, and brief heavy rain.
Most storms should dissipate with the loss of heating just before sunset this evening.
