Highs this weekend will remain near or slightly above normal in the mid to upper 90s. Heat index values will be between 97 and 102 each afternoon with a southerly breeze of 10-20 mph. Skies will be mostly clear with little/no rain chances.
Some relief from the summer heat will arrive next week as a rare summer cold front moves into the area on Monday. Scattered storms will accompany this front beginning Monday afternoon, lasting into Tuesday. Noticeably cooler and drier air will arrive behind this front which will keep temperatures below normal for the remainder of the week with lower humidity as well.
