A new vehicle discount for first responders was launched today by General Motors.

The program offers a discount (GM Supplier Price) to eligible first responders and will include Chevrolet, Buick and GMC. The program is open to paid or volunteer Firefighters, Police, Sheriff/Sheriff’s Deputies, Correctional Officers, State Troopers, Federal Law Enforcement Officers, EMT/Paramedics and 911 Dispatchers.

“We are proud to announce this exciting addition to our impressive roster of discount programs,” said the company in a press release.

Firefighters, Police and EMT/Paramedic Verification will be obtained by using the First Responder ID to verify program eligibility. Those listed above will be able to obtain an Authorization Code for the discounts. They should bring the authorization code and a copy of their driver’s license with the license number redacted to the dealership.

The program also includes 911 Dispatchers which can create an account at www.gmfirstresponderdiscount.com by clicking here. Once they have created an account they will be able to receive their authorization code. Dispatchers should bring the code, a copy of their driver’s license and the license plate number redacted to the dealership. They will also need to provide a copy of a valid and current year 911 training and education document, or 911 card that contains the participant’s full name.
