Sunday evening, around 7:45, Caddo Mills and Merit Volunteer Fire Departments responded to a report of a vehicle crash on US380 and County Road 2748.

According to fire personnel, a Chevrolet Tahoe rear-ended a Ford F250 while traveling westbound on US380. The Tahoe rolled over, ejecting a passenger who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt. Two ambulances, one from Hunt County EMS, and a second from Collin County EMS responded to the scene.

Air Evac 67 landed on US380 and flew the ejected passenger to Medical Center of Plano. US380 was shut down at FM36 north for an hour.

Right as the left lane was opened to traffic, a second crash was reported at westbound US380 and FM36. Responding were Merit and Caddo Mills units, along with DPS Troopers, who found a Chrysler 300 and a Nissan Maxima involved in a crash at US380 and County Road 1118 at Floyd.

Hunt County EMS responded to check out the passengers. US380 was again shut down, with traffic diverted onto Business 380.  The highway was cleared at 9:45 p.m.
