Today will be a mostly sunny and warmer day with highs in the mid 80s to around 90.
Early in the week, an upper level low pressure system will generate another round of showers and thunderstorms. Storms are expected to develop northwest of the region late Monday afternoon and eventually move into our northwest counties Monday night.
Some of these storms could become severe, with the better chances being in the red shaded region. Even if not severe, locally heavy rain could cause more flooding. The upper low will move off to the northeast on Tuesday, keeping the threat for severe weather mainly confined to the northeast counties.
However, strong storms with locally heavy rain will be possible across a larger portion of the area.
