The Texas Public Power Association announced its list of newly elected leaders this week. That group of public officials included GEUS General Manager Alicia Price.
Price becomes Vice President of this organization representing a large number of Texans that receive their power from municipally-owned electric utilities, electric cooperatives, river authorities and joint action agencies.
TPPA’s community-powered members are responsible for the generation and delivery of electricity to more than 5 million Texans with a focus on providing reliable, affordable electricity while reflecting on each community’s values.
“I’m honored to not only serve GEUS’ customer-owners but also the many citizens across Texas benefiting from public power”, said Price.
Price joined GEUS in 2013 as Compliance Manager after 11 years at Garland Power and Light. She was serving as Assistant General Manager when GEUS’ Board of Trustees appointed her to the General Manager position in January of 2018.
