Local GISD teacher interprets for Mark Hamill at FanExpo

Recently, Greenville Independent School Districts Deaf Education Teacher, Russell Bartholomew, had the chance to act as an interpreter at FanExpo Dallas.

Bartholomew met an array of well known sci-fi figures, including Stan Lee, and Mark Hamill (pictured with Bartholomew) who plays Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movies.

If you’re not familiar with FanExpo, it is the largest comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming event in Texas, quickly growing into one of the largest events in North America. It is packed with exciting family-friendly activities and celebrity guests. The pop culture extravaganza is host to tens of thousands of fans at the Dallas Convention Center for the three-day event every Spring.

Up next is Dallas Fan Days at the Irving Convention Center, October 14-16 2016!

The force was definitely with Mr. Bartholomew on this one.
