Keep Greenville Beautiful to hold annual trash off on May 11

In an attempt to beautify the city, on May 11 from 8:30 a.m.-noon, the city of Greenville will have its Keep Greenville Beautiful Trash Off 2019.

To sign up a church, school, civic organization or industry, visit Westview United Methodist Church, 6407 Sayle St., in the fellowship hall from 8:30-9 a.m. on Saturday.

KGB will supply trash bags, safety vests and instructions, maps, bottled water, breakfast snack and lunch. Teams to help clean the city will need to bring protective work gloves, weather-appropriate attire, sturdy shoes, long pants, sunscreen and/or hat and team T-shirts.

The trash collection will begin at 9 a.m., and it is recommended to not pick up any dangerous or large items — i.e., broken glass, dead animals, syringes, etc.
