This week on Friday and Saturday, March 3-4, 2017, local businesses, civic and government leaders will be in Austin visiting state lawmakers.
The first day the group will attend meetings on education with Dr. Pamela Anglin from Paris Junior College;there will be discussions with Greenville Board of Development Executive Director Greg Sims on economic development and tourism as well as meetings with Paul Voss on transportation, John Barton with TxDOT, Clay Hodges and others. Also on the agenda are visits to long-term State Rep. Dan Flynn (R-Van) and State Sen. Bob Hall (R-Canton).
On Saturday the Hunt County Days participants will deliver copies of the Governmental Affairs Committee’s position statements to state legislators for an opportunity to meet with the lawmakers one-on-one.
