Greenville’s Halloween on the Square

The threat of storms didn’t stop “Greenvillain’s and goblins from what’s become one of Greenville’s great traditions, Halloween on the Square. In fact, the cool damp air seemed most appropriate as literally hundreds of costumed kids and adults gathered around the downtown square for the festive occasion.

With the expected rain, the candy booths set up shop under the shelter of the parking garage across from the Hunt County Courthouse with the Blandelles providing the rock and roll background as long lines filed through the maze gathering treats along the way.

Main Street Director, Doyle Dick, was most pleased with a large number of people as he anticipated a smaller crowd because of the weather. While there is no way to be sure, he felt the crowd may have been the biggest ever.
