Local organizations are teaming up to make the first night in foster care easier for children in Hunt County.

Lighting a Path to a New Quest has teamed up with CASA and Hunt County CPS to collect First Night bags for local foster children. The bags include items such as clothing, toothbrushes and toothpaste, brushes, blankets, stuffed animals, etc.

“Please join us in prayer for the social workers, foster families, and children whose hands will touch these bags,” said organizer Jennifer Helge. “Our prayer is that this small token of love will illustrate God’s love for them and illuminate some dark times in their lives.”

To donate, take items to Kari Hargrave – State Farm Insurance, 109 W. Main Street Suite A in Royse City. Alternatively, items can be shipped to P.O. Box 8994 Greenville, TX 75402. The first set of bags will be distributed Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019. For more information, go to www.facebook.com/groups/1148954905271356/.
