GEUS crews, with assistance from LCRA and Garland Power and Light, have made significant progress restoring power since storms crippled the Greenville community this past Wednesday.
Friday, crews from Denton Municipal Electric and the City of Weatherford are at GEUS to provide additional restoration assistance.
Of the 7,500 outages, 6,800 of those homes and businesses now have power and crews will continue to work throughout the weekend restoring services to the rest of the community.
GEUS cable and Internet crews are repairing damaged fiber and are working alongside electric crews to restore service.
“We can’t express enough how much we appreciate the efforts of employees and other community members involved in this restoration. We also appreciate the outpouring of support from the community. ”, said GEUS General Manager Alicia Price. “A tremendous amount of work has been completed in only 48 hours”, added Price.
