A fundraiser scheduled to take place this month will contribute to community development in Greenville featuring two art projects for the city.
The 5th Annual event celebrates the regional creative community while raising money for public art installations in Greenville and Hunt County.
This year the decorating theme is Mad Hatter’s Art Party and there are sponsorships available as well as many opportunities to help make the event a success. Become a sponsor, donate artwork, make heart-themed artwork for the pop-up shop and like Hunt County Public Art on Facebook to be a part of the efforts.
One of the two projects is a large mural at the L.P. Water Early Childhood Center in Greenville by artist Elisa Lane. The second project will feature a fused-glass window in Commerce Public Library by artist David Zvanut.
The Hearts for the Arts Gala aims to raise the finances to fund both projects mentioned above. The gala will take place Saturday, Feb. 10, at 6:30 p.m. in the Emerald Ballroom in downtown Greenville.
Tickets for the event are $50 in advance or $60 on the day of the event.
Tickets are available at Landon Winery, the Greenville Chamber of Commerce, the Alliance Bank main branch in Greenville and the Magnuson Hotel in Commerce. You can also purchase tickets online at HuntCountyPublicArt.com.
