Joshua 1:9 – “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
If you’re moving forward for God, the enemy will want to stop you. A lot of times, we don’t face obstacles because we’re doing something wrong, we face obstacles because we’re doing something right. And unfortunately, obstacles usually bring about discouragement. We start to second guess ourselves, we start to doubt, we start to believe the critics… we forget to “not be discouraged.” We forget that “the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Nehemiah 4:14 says “…Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome…”
There’s no reason to be fearful or discouraged when you “remember the Lord!” Think about all He has done for you, the blessings that fill your life. Don’t dwell on the obstacles or the failures, instead focus on the miracles and grace and know He will be with you wherever you go. When you do this, you will have found your strength and courage. You will overcome the obstacles.
