The iBug is frustrating iPhone users after new update

If you’re an iPhone user that recently updated to iOS 11.1 you have probably noticed a small bug resulting in the letter “i” autocorrecting to “A” followed by a symbol.

Apple announced on their website on Saturday that there is a workaround for the bug using the Text Replacement feature on the iPhone.

You can set up the text replacement by:

  1. Go to Settings>General>Keyboard>Text Replacement.
  2. Tap + to add new text replacement
  3. For Phrase, type upper-case “I”. For Shortcut, type a lower-case ‘i”.

Apple has not released an official update to fix the bug yet but mentioned that it would be addressed in a future update.
