On July 16, 2019 Tactical Teams from the Hunt County Sheriff’s Office, Rains County Sheriff’s Office and Greenville Police Department executed a narcotics search at a residence in the 3700 block of FM 2649 in the Lone Oak area of Hunt County.
The search warrant was the result of an investigation conducted by Hunt County Sheriff’s Office Investigators who seized 1,750 grams of methamphetamine and 14 firearms from inside the residence.
According to the sheriff’s office, the tactical teams found children inside the residence and were turned over to Child Protective Services at the scene and two adults were arrested and charged with manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance more than one gram.
Those arrested were April Lanae McMennamy, 32-year-old female from Lone Oak, Texas, and Curtis Leverl McMennamy, 34-year-old male from Lone Oak, Texas.
Both have been arraigned and given a $100,000.00 bond each.
“I find it very troubling that these individuals were in possession of this dangerous drug and multiple firearms in the house with their children,” said Sheriff Randy Meeks. “I am very grateful for the successful outcome to this raid and that no one was injured in the process. I would like to thank the Rains County Sheriff’s Office and the Greenville Police Department for their assistance in this case”.
