Hunt Regional welcomed two new board members at their May 22 meeting. Sarah Alderman and Scott Pierce, D.O., join the board as representatives of Precincts 4 and 2, respectively.
The Hunt Memorial Hospital District Board of Directors is a nine-member panel elected by Hunt County residents. The volunteer board meets monthly to set policy and establish goals for Hunt Regional Healthcare facilities in the county.
“We welcome the addition of two new active community representatives. We are excited to add their unique, professional backgrounds to our board of directors,” said Rich Carter, Hunt Regional Healthcare CEO.
Sarah Alderman is a resident of the Commerce/Campbell area where she lives with her husband, Charlie—superintendent of Commerce ISD—and their two children. She has lived in Hunt County for five years and enjoys being active and serving in her community.
Alderman is a member of the Greenville Rotary Club, First Baptist Church of Commerce, and volunteers with her children’s school and sports leagues. In her spare time, she loves to run, participate in local boot camps, swim with her kids, and travel, primarily to beach locations.
Alderman is a financial advisor with JBA Financial Services and an insurance broker with Diversified Insurance. Before joining the insurance and investments field, she spent six years as a retail senior assistant buyer and retail planner for Filene’s/May Company in Boston and JCPenney in Plano.
Alderman grew up in New England, where she graduated from Bentley University in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.
“Joining the hospital board is an honor, and I look forward to serving my community in this new capacity,” said Alderman.
